NOTE: This is my first and only Beetleborgs fan fiction. And it takes place sometime after the last episode, “Mega Borg Power.”

PREVIEW
FLABBER: (Voice Over) ‘Next on Saban’s Beetleborgs Metallix. Heather discovers the Beetleborgs’ secret identities, then she is captured by Mega Nukus.’
M. NUKUS: ‘Any friend of the Beetleborgs, is an enemy of ours.’
FLABBER: (V.O.) ‘And to make things worse, Mega Nukus sends a monster to Charterville, and a giant monster to attack Urbana City. Will the Beetleborgs rescue Heather? And will Heather keep her friends’ secret identities secret? Find out on Saban’s Beetleborgs Metallix, next.’

ZOOM COMICS
Jo walked into the store carrying a big package.
NANO: (to Jo) ‘Isn’t that too heavy for you?’
JO: ‘Nope, not at all. I can carry two if I wanted to.’
Nano walked away twirling her finger like “crazy”. Drew, Roland and Heather walked up to Jo.
DREW: ‘Is that the new issue of Beetleborgs Metallix?’
JO: (opening the box) ‘Hot off the press.’
The kids got out copies of the book.
DREW: ‘Wow. This issue has new characters. The Astralborgs.’
ROLAND: ‘And the Astral Sword, capable of summoning the giant Roboborg.’
JO: ‘And new enemies, the Mantrons.’
HEATHER: ‘You guys seem to know a lot about these guys. It’s like you’ve met them.’
Suddenly, Jo and the boys realised they almost blew their cover.
DREW: ‘Oh right, let’s just say that… We’ve met them, and the Beetleborgs.’
HEATHER: ‘Right.’
She walked off.

CHARTERVILLE CEMETERY
Mega Nukus was growling as he marched up and down the room, as Horribelle and Vilor watched.
M. NUKUS: ‘Now that that useless cartoonist has gone back to jail, and the Astral Axe is in the hands of those Beetle brats, we are outmatched!!!’
HORRIBELLE: ‘On the bright side, you still have your mega powers.’
M. NUKUS: ‘You’re right, Horribelle. And with my mega powers, I will crush those bugs like the bugs they are!’
VILOR: ‘Speaking of the mega powers, how come I lost mine so quickly?’
M. NUKUS: ‘According to Les, the Transmogrifyer had a limited energy supply. Most of the power was used on me. And you got the rest of it, Vilor.’
HORRIBELLE: ‘You mean if I got a chance to use it on myself, I would have got nothing?’
M. NUKUS: ‘That’s right. But remember, we still have some of the cartoonist’s remaining monster drawings. We can unleash them on Charterville.’
He got out a drawing of a red sea monster, and placed it on the ground.
M. NUKUS: (pointing his sword at the drawing) ‘Sting Fish, arise!’
He fired a beam from his sword, and brought the monster to life.
STING FISH: ‘Finally I am three dimensional! Good riddance 2-D World!’
M. NUKUS: ‘Sting Fish, you will go to Charterville, and flush out the Beetleborgs.’
STING FISH: ‘As you command, Mega Nukus.’
The monster teleported out.

ZOOM COMICS
Drew and his friends finished shelving the new Beetleborg comics.
DREW: ‘Now that all the comics are up, let’s read the latest issue.’
Drew, Jo and Roland picked up copies of the latest issue, and started reading them. Flabber’s face appeared in Roland’s comic.
FLABBER: ‘Hey kids.’
ROLAND: (whispering to the others) ‘Hey guys. It’s Flabber.’
FLABBER: ‘The Crustaceans are up to no good again. They’ve sent a monster to attack Charterville.’
DREW: ‘But I thought you said that Les Fortunes went back to jail?’
FLABBER: ‘I did, but Mega Nukus still has some of his drawings.’
ROLAND: ‘Okay Flabber. We’re on our way.’
They put the comics back on the shelves and left the shop. Heather watched from a distance, and rushed to the shelf and picked up one of the comics, and looked in it.
HEATHER: ‘I could have sworn I heard another voice.’

OUTSIDE
The three kids took cover in the alley.
DREW: ‘Okay, let’s borg and stop Nukus, and then get back here as quick as we can.’
ROLAND: ‘Right.’
DREW/ ROLAND/ JO: (holding out their hands) ‘Data Bonders!’
Their bonders materialised in their hands.
DREW/ ROLAND/ JO: ‘Input cards!’
They inserted the cards.
DREW/ ROLAND/ JO: (holding up the bonders) ‘Beetle Blast!’
Drew transformed into the Chromium Gold Beetleborg. Roland transformed into the Titanium Silver Beetleborg. And Jo transformed into the Platinum Purple Beetleborg. The three Beetleborgs ran out of the alley, unaware that someone was watching from behind a door. The door opened, and Heather stepped out.
HEATHER: (surprised) ‘Drew? Jo? Roland? They’re the Beetleborgs?’
The Beetleborgs ran up to their bicycles.
BEETLEBORGS: (calling into their bonders) ‘Mega Spectra Sector Cycles!’
They transformed their bicycles into the Mega Spectra Sector Cycles. The Beetleborgs got on them, and zoomed off. Heather came out from around the corner.
HEATHER: ‘That explains why they know so much about the new characters in the latest issue.’
She gasped as she remembered something.

FLASHBACK
TOTALLY SLAMMIN' SECTOR CYCLES
Heather and a few girls were walking along the sidewalk, and the Beetleborgs rode towards them on their Sector Cycles.
SILVER: ‘Hey look, there’s Heather.’
GOLD: (to Heather, as he and the others rode past her) ‘Hi Heather!’
HEATHER: ‘Wait! How did you know my name? Get back here!’
GOLD: ‘Uh oh.’
END OF FLASHBACK

PRESENT
HEATHER: ‘It was them all along. Those three have a lot to explain to me when they get back here.’
She ran back into the alley way, and bumped into Mega Nukus.
M. NUKUS: ‘You’ve seen too much, child.’
Heather screamed at the sight of the monster standing before her.

THE QUARRY
The Beetleborgs arrived, and they confronted the Sting Fish monster.
STING FISH: ‘Ah, Beetleborgs. I’m pleased you could show up. Now I can do this.’
The monster fired lasers from his eyes, and hit the Beetleborgs, causing explosions.
STING KING: ‘Stings, doesn’t it?’
GOLD: ‘Metallix Lancer!’
SILVER: ‘Metallix Grappler!’
PURPLE: ‘Metallix Baton!’
They used their weapons and attacked the monster with them.
SILVER: ‘This monster's too strong. Time to go mega.’
GOLD: ‘Right.’
BEETLEBORGS: ‘Mega Spectra Beetleborgs!’
They transformed into their Mega forms, and the battle continued.
STING FISH: ‘Your Mega powers are a joke!’
GOLD: ‘It looks like the joke’s on you.’
The three M.S. Beetleborgs fired at the monster, regressing him back to his two dimensional state.

CHARTERVILLE CEMETERY
The monster returned to the picture, and Vilor picked it up and tore it apart.
VILOR: ‘Les Fortunes’ monsters are useless!’
M. NUKUS: ‘But we have something better. A hostage.’
He turned to look at Heather, who was tied to a chair.
HEATHER: ‘You won’t get away with this!’
HORRIBELLE: ‘That is what they all say.’
M. NUKUS: ‘Any friend of the Beetleborgs, is an enemy of ours. And by now, they will have received the ransom note I left behind.’

OUTSIDE ZOOM COMICS
The Beetleborgs returned and ran into the alleyway.
BEETLEBORGS: ‘Back Blast!’
They changed back to normal..
DREW: ‘Let’s sneak in the back way.’
They walked up to the door and found a note attached to it.
ROLAND: (looking at the note) ‘Guys, look. It’s addressed to the Beetleborgs.’
DREW: ‘What does it say?’
ROLAND: (reading the note) ‘Beetleborgs, we have your friend. Meet with us to surrender your Data Bonders, in exchange for your friend’s safety.’
JO: ‘Another dilemma.’
DREW: ‘We have to go see Flabber.’

HILLHURST
There was a ring placed in the parlour, and Mums and Fangula were standing in the corners of the ring, wearing boxing gloves and helmets. Frankenbeans and Wolfgang stood beside their competitors. And Little Ghoul sat on a chair watching the event.
Flabber was standing in the middle, disguised as a referee.
FLABBER: (talking into the microphone hanging from the ceiling) ‘Ladies and gentlemen! In the blue corner, the Egyptian prince, wrapped up in bandages, Mums!’
MUMS: ‘Thank you! Thank you!’
FLABBER: ‘And in the red corner, with pale skin, and allergic to garlic…!’
FANGULA: ‘Do we have to do this every round?’
FLABBER: ‘Count Fangula!’
FANGULA: (to Mums) ‘You’re going down this time, Mums.’
MUMS: ‘I beg to differ.’
FLABBER: ‘Let’s get ready to rumble!!!’
He rang the bell. As they got ready to box, they heard the door open.
DREW’S VOICE: ‘Flabber?!’
FANGULA: ‘Dinner’s arrived.’
The monsters leaped out of the ring and ran out.
LITTLE GHOUL: ‘I paid ten cockroaches to see this? WHAT A RIP OFF!!!’
The monsters tried to attack the kids, but Flabber got in front, and pushed them back.
FLABBER: ‘Hi kids. We were just having a friendly boxing match.’
FANGULA: ‘And I was gonna win in this round.’
MUMS: ‘Yeah right, Fangula. You lost all three previous rounds.’
FANGULA: ‘You wanna piece of me?!!!’
FLABBER: ‘All right, break it up! You two need a time out! Now get out of here!’
The monsters walked out, mumbling to themselves.
FLABBER: ‘What’s wrong? You kids look down. How about a nice bowl of Flab O’s?’
A breakfast cereal box with Flabber’s face on the cover, materialised in his hands.
DREW: ‘Thanks but no thanks. The monster attack was a distraction.. Nukus has captured someone.’
JO: ‘We don’t know who it is. But the ransom note was to surrender our Data Bonders.’
FLABBER: ‘This is a Flabtastrophy! If you hand over your Data Bonders, you won’t be Beetleborgs anymore! And the Crustaceans will destroy Charterville!’
He conjured up his crystal ball.
FLABBER: ‘O Crystal Ball, please show all. The Beetleborgs’ friend, the image, now send.’
The crystal ball showed Heather tied to the chair, at the hills near Charterville. With her was Mega Nukus, Horribelle and Vilor.
DREW: ‘It’s Heather! We’ve gotta rescue her!’
FLABBER: ‘That’s not the only problem. The Crustaceans have unleashed a giant monster in Urbana City.’
The crystal ball showed a giant triceratops like monster.
DREW: ‘We gotta borg and stop them. And save Heather. Jo, you take the Astral Sword, and you and Roland go stop the monster. The Astralborgs and I will go save Heather.’
The Astralborgs materialised in the room.
DRAGONBORG: ‘Did someone say “Astralborgs”?’
DREW: ‘Yes, I did.’
ROLAND: ‘We have to borg now, before it’s too late.’
DREW/ JO: ‘Right.’
They transformed into the Beetleborgs again.

OUTSIDE HILLHURST
The Beetleborgs got on their Mega Spectra Sector Cycles and rode off. And the Astralborgs teleported out.
FLABBER: (from the doorway) ‘Good luck, guys.’

URBANA CITY
The giant monster was marching down the city.
MONSTER: ‘I am Triceratox, and you’re all not!’
He fired rays from his eyes and destroyed a few buildings. The Silver and Purple Beetleborgs arrived on their Mega Spectra Sector Cycles.
SILVER: ‘That’s one ugly monster. Let’s do it, Jo.’
PURPLE: ‘Right. (Holds up the Astral Sword) Roboborg!’
SILVER: (holding up the Astral Axe) ‘Boron arise!’
Their weapons fired beams into the air, and the two giant robots appeared.
ROBOBORG: (to the Beetleborgs) ‘You summoned us?’
BORON: ‘What is it we can do for you?’
TRICERATOX: (behind them) ‘Well, you can start by getting out of my way!’
The robots turned to face the monster.
ROBOBORG: ‘It looks like we have another giant pest to exterminate.'
BORON: 'And we are the exterminators.'
ROBOBORG: 'Robo Sword!’
The sword materialised in Roboborg’s hand.
BORON: ‘Long Sword!’
The sword materialised in Boron’s hand.
BORON: (to Triceratox) 'Time to send you back to the Stone Age.'
The two giant robots battled against the giant monster.

THE HILLS
The Chromium Gold Beetleborg arrived and saw Heather tied to the chair.
GOLD: ‘Heather… I mean, hold on, young lady, I’ll save you!’
He got off his bike, and ran towards Heather. Mega Nukus and the other Crustaceans appeared in front of Heather.
M. NUKUS: ‘You will have to get past us first, Beetle Brat!’
GOLD: ‘That won’t be a problem.’
The Astralborgs materialised. Dragonborg and Ladyborg on his left, and Fireborg and Lightningborg on his right.
HEATHER: (surprised) ‘The Astralborgs.’
DRAGONBORG: (to the Gold Beetleborg) ‘We’ll handle the Crustaceans, while you rescue Heather.’
GOLD: ‘Right. Let’s do it.’
M. NUKUS: ‘Attack!’
The Crustaceans charged at the Astralborgs, and they did battle. Dragonborg battled Mega Nukus. Horribelle battled Ladyborg. And Lightningborg and Fireborg battled Vilor. The Gold Beetleborg ran up to Heather, and used his brain power to untie the ropes. Heather got up and hugged her rescuer.
HEATHER: ‘Oh Drew, you rescued me.’
GOLD: ‘All in today’s work young la… (Realises what she just said) What?! But how did you know?’
HEATHER: ‘I saw you, and Jo and Roland from outside the door, just before that scary dinosaur captured me. Now I know why you called me by my name that other day, and how you know so much about the Astralborgs. And Roboborg was that giant I’ve seen around Charterville.’
GOLD: ‘It’s all true Heather. But you know my big secret.’
HEATHER: ‘My lips are sealed. I won’t tell anyone. But I’d like to know how you became Beetleborgs in the first place.’
GOLD: ‘It’s a long story. I’ll explain later. Right now, the Astralborgs need my help. You’ll be safe over there.’
He pointed at a rock nearby. Heather nodded and went to hide behind the rock.
Mega Nukus got out his sword and fired at the Astralborgs, sending them to the ground.
M. NUKUS: ‘Enough of this nonsense! (To Horribelle and Vilor) Out of my sight!’
The two villains teleported out.
M. NUKUS: ‘Chromium Gold Beetleborg, we shall have a fight to the finish! Now choose your weapon.’
GOLD: ‘My pleasure. Metallix Lancer!’
The Gold Beetleborg and Mega Nukus charged at each other and clashed weapons.
HEATHER: (watching from a distance) ‘Go Drew!’
The Gold Beetleborg overpowered Mega Nukus, and charged up his lancer. He swung it at Mega Nukus, causing explosions around.
M. NUKUS: ‘This cannot be! I am Mega Nukus! I cannot be defeated!’
He collapsed and a big explosion occurred.
HEATHER: ‘Yes! You did it, Drew!’
DRAGONBORG: (to the Gold Beetleborg) ‘It looks like our job is done.’
LADYBORG: ‘Good luck you two.’
The Astralborgs teleported out.

URBANA CITY
ROBOBORG: 'It's time to end this.'
BORON: 'I couldn't agree more.'
ROBOBORG / BORON: 'Double Robo Cyclone!'
Roboborg and Boron swung their weapons at Triceratox, and defeated him. The monster floated into the air.
ROBOBORG / BORON: ‘Once again, Roboborg and Boron have triumphed over evil.’
Roboborg and Boron slapped their left robotic fists and pose for victory.

THE HILLS
Heather ran up to the Chromium Gold Beetleborg.
HEATHER: ‘Now that Mega Nukus is gone, would you like to treat me to a milkshake?’
GOLD: ‘Would I?’
He swept Heather off her feet.
HEATHER: ‘My hero. (Spots something in the smoking crater) Oh no!’
The Gold Beetleborg turned to see what Heather was looking at. Nukus rose out of the crater.
GOLD: ‘I guess I now know how long the mega powers last.’
NUKUS: (looking at his arms) ‘My mega powers are gone. (growls in fury) You may have won this round, Beetleborg! But even without Les Fortunes or Boron, I will not rest until you are destroyed!!!’
He teleported out.
HEATHER: ‘What a sore loser.’
GOLD: ‘You can say that again Heather.’
He put Heather down. The other Beetleborgs arrived in their Mega Spectra Sector Cycles.
GOLD: ‘Hey guys, you missed the action. Nukus has lost his mega powers.’
SILVER: ‘No way..’
GOLD: ‘Way. But we now have another problem.’
He turned to look at Heather, who stood nervously, wondering what was going to happen next.

HILLHURST
Drew, Jo, Roland, Heather and Flabber sat down in the parlour.
DREW: ‘And that’s how it happened.’
HEATHER: ‘Wow. I would give anything to be a Beetleborg. Now I know that the world is safe, with you three as its protectors.’
She kissed Drew on the cheek, and the other kids laughed.
JO: (taunting) ‘Drew and Heather sitting in a tree…’
FLABBER: ‘Jo, please show respect.’
JO: ‘Sorry, Drew, Heather.’
FLABBER: ‘Now Heather. I trust you can keep our little secret?’
HEATHER: ‘I cross my heart, and hope to die.’
The monsters arrived.
MUMS: ‘Now that sounds like a great idea.’
DREW: ‘Here we go again. Don’t worry, Heather, you’ll get used to it.’
The kids got up, and ran out screaming, as the monsters chased them out. They ran out of the house, and Drew and Heather were holding hands.
FLABBER: (watching from the doorway) ‘Don’t those two make a happy couple?’
Flabber smiled and sniffled.
